Linda Ortega is a Research Technician at the Laboratory for Child Brain Development at Washington University in St. Louis. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development with an emphasis on neuroscience from the University of California, Davis. Linda’s initial research work focused on cognitive development in infants, which deepened her understanding of how a child’s experiences influences their perception of objects and events in the world. This insight sparked her interest in specialized areas such as the impact of specific parenting styles, early-life experiences on resilience, and strategies to support individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Autism. Linda plans to pursue a PhD in developmental psychology in the future.
