Kayla is a research assistant at the Laboratory for Child Brain Development at Washington University in St. Louis. She graduated from the University of Chicago in 2024 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Music. Her research interests include the development of emotional regulation skills and executive functioning in children, the potential social, environmental, and neurological factors associated with them, and the management of related neurodevelopmental disorders. In the future, she hopes to apply to clinical psychology Ph.D. programs.
